Tooth Trauma

Picture
When the horse was brought in from the pasture, his caretaker noted that something wasn't right.

Trauma (kick? Caught on something while eating?) caused this tooth to be pulled completely off the gum. The normal tooth you see is the lower canine. Just out to the side of that is the third incisor -- rotated completely out from its normal position.

Images below can be clicked to make them larger, with narration of how we fixed this patient.  The very next day he was back to eating soupy mashes and is on track for a full (minus the tooth!) recovery!
