Surgery
Many surgeries are available in the field, but for those that aren't, we can accomodate many of them at our facility. These include such procedures as Hernia Repair, Ophthalmic Surgery & Enucleations, Sarcoid Removal & Treatment (including cryogenic reimplatation of sarcoids), Neurectomy, Tumor Removals, Check Ligament Surgeries, Ultrasound-guided ACP therapy, and many other options.
In addition, if the show arena is your happy place, we are as committed as you are to keeping your show horse in the best condition possible. This is always a combination of soundness and overall health, and we take both very seriously. Since Dr. Barrow is an avid participant in showing, we understand the timing and legalities of medical treatments and adhering to breed or FEI rules and standards. We put the reins in your hands when deciding on treatment & maintenance options for your show horse.
*** WE DO NOT OFFER COLIC OR ABDOMINAL SURGERIES. WE WILL REFER TO YOUR CHOICE OF SURGICAL CENTER IF THE NEED ARISES. WE ARE HAPPY TO ASSIST WITH INSURANCE PAPERWORK AND CAN OFFER POST-SURGICAL CARE OR REHAB SERVICES UPON DISCHARGE FROM THE SURGEON'S CARE. ***
